1. Identifying your college-level knowledge and skills.

WoodCrest suggests a minimum of 3 years of work experience for an associate’s, 5 years of work experience for a bachelors, and 7 years of work experience for a Masters. However, if you feel that you have the know-how to succeed, you may attempt the test modules no matter your level of experience.

Degree Requirements

Associates Degree

You may qualify for the Associates Degree if you have one of the following:

  • If you have 3 years of work experience
  • If you have 2 year of work experience and 20 college credits.
  • If you have any of the above combination.
  • If you have substantial experience in a field.

Bachelors Degree

You may qualify for the Bachelors Degree if you have one of the following:

  • 5 years of work experience
  • 4 years of work experience and 20 college credits
  • 3 years of work experience and 40 college credits
  • Any combination of the above or substantial experience in a field.

Masters Degree

You may qualify for the Masters Degree if you have one of the following:

  • 8 years of work experience
  • 6 years work experience and 20 college credits
  • 5 years work experience and 40 college credits
  • Any combination of the above or substantial experience in a field.

Once you apply to the program and begin testing, select the major and degree level for which you hope to obtain college credit. Base your decision on the answers to the following questions.

  • Is your seasoned experience equivalent to learning taught in a classroom?
  • Does your experience have its academic worth?

2. Demonstrating knowledge and approaches to problem solving

After you apply to the program by filling out the application form you will be taken to the testing center where you can begin completing knowledge modules. These modules will outline your professional learning and demonstrate your knowledge and approaches to problem solving.

Students are expected to test-out in areas such as Verbal Reasoning, Logic, and Critical Thinking. Our material is designed to capture thought processes unique to seasoned professionals and reward their aptitude with college credits.

Students who are unsure whether they can meet the above recommendations, or who have questions about how to demonstrate their knowledge should discuss the matter with an adviser by selecting "Request More Info". Our advisers will be happy to assist you.

If you think that you will be able to provide demonstration to support your work background, our competency program may be a good option for you to earn your degree. For more information about the competency program, contact us by clicking here.

Free Evaluation

Complete our evaluation form and submit it to us. Our system will allow you to take the knowledge modules free of charge and then get back to you with an evaluation of your skills, achievements, and experience.

After all curricula has been met you could be granted a paper degree which documents and recognizes your accumulated knowledge and ability.
